Dr. Ken Riggs, who has served as Administrator of PVCS for the past  six years, has announced his resignation.  Please join us in thanking  Dr. Riggs for his years of faithful service.  He has led PVCS through  times of great growth in many areas.  We are greatly indebted to his  service.  Dr. Riggs will continue  working through the end of July to  help ensure that the school is ready for the coming school year.

Brother Steve Lindsay, who has served PVCS as High School Principal  for the last year, has accepted the call to pastor the Free Will  Baptist Church in Red Bay, Alabama.  Please join us in congratulating  Mr. Lindsay and his family in this new arena of ministry.  Pray that  they will have a smooth transition in their move to Alabama.  Mr.  Lindsay will continue working through the end of July to ensure that  the High School is prepared for the 2010 fall semester.

The PVCS Board of Directors has formed a search committee to find a  new Administrator/High School Principal.  Please pray that God will  lead us to the right person to lead PVCS.

GOOD NEWS!!!!   Last fall we reported about the financial  difficulties facing the school.  We are pleased to inform you that we  will end our fiscal year on June 30 with a small profit for the year.  Thank you to all who gave above and beyond to PVCS during this time.  God has been faithful to provide.  The process was sometimes painful,  but we are in a much better financial position that we were last  fall.

June 22, 2010

Dear PVCS family,

I wanted to say thank-you for all of your support during this past year.  It has indeed been my privilege to serve as the secondary principal.  As some of you may know, I have recently received the call to pastor a church in Red Bay, Alabama.  I spent much time talking with my family and praying about this offer.  After visiting with the people, we knew this was the plan God had for us.  I have since submitted my resignation to Dr. Riggs and the board.

I am very proud of Pleasant View Christian School and the people who give so much to make the school all that it is.  The board is already actively searching for my replacement.  In the meantime, please rest assured everything will be in place and ready for the 2010-2011 school year.  My goal before I permanently move to Alabama is to have things organized for a smooth transition for everyone involved.

I ask for your prayers as we follow God’s leading into this new ministry.  I also encourage you to pray for and support the school as things are put into place for next year.

For God’s Glory,

Mr. Steve Lindsay

Secondary Principal

Severe Weather Information

In the event of severe weather, tune in to Channels 2, 4, 5, or 17 for up-to-date school closing information.  PVCS will be listed under "private schools".  Please watch and listen closely as we do not always follow the same schedule as the county schools.  If school is closed, the preschool will also be closed.
